Choice in Action

Having a sense of choice in small and large moments is a hallmark of a mature, coherent nervous system.
Discernment around which choice to make comes with a deep familiarity with who you are, and what supports you living in truth.
This week we will be examining and practicing our ability to make choices in any given moment.
It could be a small choice, like whether to have a second slice of pie. Or it could be a bigger choice, like whether to share something important with a loved one. It could be the choice about what to wear, or the choice of whether to make a major career change.
As you become more practiced at pausing, seeing choice and owning your honest choices, you will feel freer and more comfortable in life. You will be able to access more joy.
Half Lord of the Fishes Pose (seated twist)
Twisting is so invigorating and also supports a healthy gut and smooth digestion.
This week our classes will emphasize various aspects of the mechanics of Half Lord of the Fishes Pose. Your spine, belly, and outer hips will certainly appreciate this.
Yoga Class: DEEP STRETCH, DEEPER BREATH
Slow deep stretches and long slow breaths. Get ready to caaaalllllmmmm down. A relaxing and restorative class.
Savasana: LIGHTEN THE LOAD
Go into a deeply restorative state in a gentle inversion with legs up the wall. Soothe your body with a toes-to-head meditation, then direct healing energy to somewhere that needs it.
Yoga Class: SLOW LOW BELLY
Ariel loves this sequence! YUM it feels so good to stretch, strengthen, and feel into the depths of the abdominal muscles. Wonderful if you want to feel centered and strong in your wise gut!
Self-Massage: DEEP GUTS
Massage and breathe into your entire abdomen. Wonderful for digestion and tension-relief in the belly.
Yoga Class: RETURN TO DIGNITY
Find your long, level spine in all kinds of twisted situations! Dynamic spinal and neck warm-ups, myriad pyramid poses, flowing warrior 1, and a great tall balance on a block!
Self-Massage: EVERY SINGLE VERTEBRA
Detail the whole length of your spine from the base of your skull to the sides of your sacrum with small therapy balls.
Yoga Class: LOOKING AROUND
Options are everywhere… if we just remember to look around. In this class you’ll do plenty of twisting and looking hither and yon. Expect a fresh twist on half sun salutes, strong twisting lunges and flowing balance twists – plus invigorating breath of fire! Finish up with your legs in the air!
Meditation: THE FELT SENSE
Feel into the subtle sensations beneath the skin to bring your body’s wisdom online. If you wish, take a choice you need to make through this meditation to find out how your subtle body feels about it.
